Biden's Vaccine Mandate - Letters to Congress

A few days ago, I sent the following letter to my State's Senators, Murkowski and Sullivan, asking for options to the possible order that Federal Employees either take the Covid vaccine or take a Covid test. Yesterday, prior to the announcement that Mr. Biden is now ordering this, I sent a follow up letter to both Senators. After sending both letters, I learned that Mr. Biden has taken draconian steps that will affect millions of Americans. I ask you to read these letters and write your own to all members of Congress. Thanks

Senator Dan Sullivan,

I am a federal employee who may be subject to orders to either get vaccinated or take a weekly test where a swab is shoved up my nose (possible retribution for not following preferred orders). Neither option is welcome. And as I have read published medical material on the Covid virus, I want to ask for a qualified exemption.

As you know, there are three categories of immunity that federal employees may fall under: 1) vaccinated immunity, 2) natural immunity, and 3) no immunity. Options should be made available to all persons who are being asked to take the Covid vaccine. No matter what the options are, we should always default to the position that the decision to take the vaccine, or not, should never be mandated by anyone. This is first and foremost a matter of personal liberty!

As we are given tacit orders to either get vaccinated or take weekly test for Covid, there are more than one kind of test that we can take (if we follow the science). I’ll assume for the sake of brevity that we are being asked to take the PCR test, which is the test that puts a swab up the nose and/or throat to check if the Covid virus is present. However, there are at least two other tests that can check on one’s immunity with respect to the Covid virus. These are both blood tests that can check for the presence and relative strength of antibodies and B/T-Cells in the body. With an option to take one or both of these blood tests means several things; the least of which is a qualified exception to current stated policy for federal employees.

Checking for the presence of the Covid virus with the PCR test helps identify initial infection when one is symptomatic. There is already a process in place for federal employees to self-identify when they discover that they are infected. This PCR test is quick but limited in its scope. The test for antibodies not only shows whether or not one has been infected by the Covid virus; it also shows the presence of antibodies that represents a present immunity to the Covid virus. In addition to this test, the test for B/T-Cells shows whether or not the body can produce new antibodies once the original virus has been defeated. To recap, the first test (PCR) shows the presence of the Covid virus, the second test shows the presence of antibodies (immunity), and the third shows the presence of B/T-Cells (protective immunity long after the antibodies are gone).

These three tests are important because they show us what we’re fighting when we get sick and whether or not we’re at risk of retransmitting the infection to others. Once infected, the body produces B/T-Cells, which in turn produce the antibodies that attack the invading Covid virus. And once the initial infection of Covid is defeated by these antibodies, these antibodies subside after 90-125 days. However, the B/T-Cells continue to be present in the body long after the antibodies are gone and these B/T-Cells can produce new antibodies if/when a new Covid infection is present. However, B/T-Cells have a limited presence in the body, which tests can show.

So for people in the first category who have had a vaccination, they have limited production of antibodies due to the fact that the vaccine is bio-engineered. People in the second category who have natural immunity have the full set of antibodies from primary infection and the same antibodies needed to attack any re-infection. But people in the third category who have no immunity (vaccinated or natural) have no antibodies to protect them. These people may benefit from plasma therapy where antibodies are present for transfusion but this isn’t even being discussed.

There are many categories of people and types of tests that can be taken. Having only one solution for everyone belies the complexity of the problem. We don’t have a pandemic of the unvaccinated but of Covid-19. And treating different people differently is what we need.

For myself, I have natural immunity. I do not intend to take a vaccine that is not designed for the Delta variant when I already have B/T-Cells that will produce a better immunity from new antibodies if/when I’m re-infected. I won’t get sick or retransmit the infection with protective immunity any more than if I had a new vaccine. The vaccine that is being pressed upon us has no greater capacity to help me with a second attack of Covid than my body’s ability to produce new antibodies from B/T-Cells.

Qualified personnel at the CDC should be able to relate the following sets of data and provide a useful measure of protective immunity from B/T-Cells instead of me having to take the vaccine or get weekly PCR test. These sets of data include: 1) PCR test showing initial onset of infection, 2) blood test showing the presence and relative numbers of antibodies against the infection, and 3) blood test showing the presence and relative numbers of B/T-Cells that can produce new antibodies against a re-infection.

I realize this is a lot of information but the final word given with respect to my natural immunity is that I have better protection against Covid-19 than if I had a vaccine; and getting revaccinated provides no new capacity against the Covid virus given that I have protective immunity from B/T-Cells. Instead of taking a weekly PCR test I propose an annual or biannual B/T-Cell test. This will provide better information and will insure my health needs are taken care of without the invasive PCR test, which some people propose that shoves a swab up my nose once a week.

And please remember. For anyone and everyone. Individual Liberty and Responsibility is the final word in every Covid case. As Americans, we do not concede our Rights to the government other than what is spelled out in our Constitutions. It matters not if officials in government think they have a good idea on how to make decisions for us, possibly better than we can make for ourselves.

Liberty and Responsibility doesn’t me “F” our freedoms as ASwart… complained, leading to a conclusion of renewed centralized control over our lives. The prescription of government, called our Constitution means facilitating our freedoms (this prescription is of value for both our public and political health). We have the Right and Responsibility to take, or not take, the Covid vaccines; it’s our individual right to choose. These choices are not mutually exclusive as both decisions are based on a risk venture as vaccines affect our health. Remember the Patriot’s Dream – the Freedom to Do what is Right! The government should always facilitate the Government of the People, by the People, for the People. We the People… demand it!

Honorable Senator Murkowski,

Recent threats made by Mr. Biden against federal employees is about to become a reality. I was given advance notice that federal employees in the DoD will either get vaccinated or take a weekly Covid test (a PCR swab test up the nose/throat) or not be allowed to work in a DoD/U.S. government building. However, this action on the part of the White House/DoD is without Constitutional foundation. I appeal to you for help.

First, many people think that Mr. Biden wasn’t legally elected. Well, he won a majority of the electors in the Electoral College and gave his Oath of Office when he was sworn in. Right or wrong (ballot harvesting?), Mr. Biden is our President. However, even though he gave his oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, he is all too willing to dismiss it when it suits his ideology.

The U.S. Constitution states in the 10th Amendment, that there are no implied powers to the federal government. Only the express powers granted by the Constitution are to be exercised by the federal government. All other powers are reserved to the States and the People respectively. And there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that addresses our nation’s public health.

Public health is a legitimate compelling interest for State governments, which is facilitated by licensed practicing physicians, not government officials. State Legislatures and Governors have limited powers concerning our health care as they facilitate professional health care providers. Mr. Biden is not a national governor, he is our president; and his power to dictate to us what he wants us to do with our health needs is not granted to him by the Constitution. Prescribed powers are limited for the health our nation, politically and otherwise.

The 9th Amendment to our Constitution also says that those Rights enumerated in the Constitution as belonging to the People are not to be assumed to be the only Rights we have. The federal government is limited to the express powers of the Constitution but the Rights of the People are not limited to what is expressed in the Constitution. Unlike some who want to trample upon our freedoms with a centralized power over our public health issues, we need to provide for our freedoms with new and various tools with which we can be responsible for our health needs.

Rights and responsibilities should connect and agree. Instead of dismissing them in favor of centralized control, we should facilitate them to help individuals in making their own health decisions. It is right and responsible for a person to take a vaccine or not take a vaccine. Both decisions are right and responsible but as they are both based upon a qualified risk to one’s own medical health, they are not mutually exclusive. This Right of the People should be left to the individual to decide whether or not to take the vaccine. And we shouldn’t be punished with a weekly (unfunded?) mandate to get a swab shoved up our nose once a week for disagreeing with Mr. Biden and company.

I recently sent you an email on this topic discussing the options we may have apart from vaccines to deal with this ongoing crisis. Many of us have natural immunity and protective immunity, which is far better than vaccinated immunity. And for those who don’t want a vaccine and haven’t contracted the Covid virus, they have an option to get plasma transfusions, which have the needed natural/protective immunity in it. But again, while facilitating options, none of them should be dictated along with a penalty for not following the dictator.

Mr. Biden has erroneously argued that we are in a pandemic of the unvaccinated. His view of the world is distorted as we have a worldwide pandemic of the Covid virus, not a lack of vaccines. Incorrect problem ID leads to incorrect solution ID, which is what we’re facing now. Please confront Mr. Biden and his administration to provide options for people’s health choices without dictating them to us. He and everyone in government should remember that we are still the Government of the People, by the People, for the People – We the People…

V/r,

James Carlson

With these 2 letters to select members of Congress, I have presented both my medical and legal issues for them to review. I trust this will be multiplied by the tens of thousands.
