The Elite War on the American Middle Class—and How to End It by Christine Rosen
The Idiocracy of the Left in our country, currently led by Kamala Harris, continues to define a damaged economy in terms of the 1930s Great Depression. This economic catastrophe began 90 years ago where there was too much wealth in the hands of upper class and too much debt in the hands of the middle class. This disparity brought on the Depression but we have long since moved on past the Depression. Middle class wealth has grown beyond the limits of the 1930s but the Left and Harris have not moved their rhetoric and policies beyond the 1930s. when they say they are attacking the wealth of the upper crust, they take aim as the middle class who actually has wealth of their own. Middle class wealth is under attack by the Left and the promises of Kamala Harris.
Why is it assumed that wealth is only found in the hands of the wealthy? Is it because we’ve played Monopoly for so many generations that only the upper crust have wealth? In a healthy economy, the wealth of a nation is distributed throughout society as a free market economy allows poor families to earn their from poverty to wealth over a few generations. Those who have real wealth include the middle class. That was supposed to be one of the lessons we learned from the Great Depression.
George Gilder wrote about book called Wealth and Poverty and showed that 70% of the wealthy in the ‘upper class’ of society came from poor families (lower class) just 2 or 3 generations prior. Undaunted with their status, these poorer families were able to develop a solid work ethic, pass that ethic down to their children, along with an inheritance (cash), and their children did the same with their own children. In 2 or 3 generations, any family can become wealthy. And in the process, the so called ‘middle class’ have genuine wealth to share with their children; this is middle class wealth.
The wealth of the middle class, sadly, is under attack by Democrats who want to punish the upper class for their great wealth as they had exclusive to the middle class in the 1930s. In their blind attack against wealth, illiberal Democrats tax the wealth of the middle class wealth with the inheritance/death tax. As these blind haters of a free market and free economy punish the wealthy, the middle class is punished for have wealth all their own. Whereas our free economy should all for the transfer of wealth from one generation to another, which produces more wealth overall for our nation, the greedy Leftist government (not greedy billionaires) steal the wealth of the middle class preventing them from achieving the ultimate American Dream. This undermining of wealth transfer in the middle class by an illiberal government is why many people in the middle class never live beyond a paycheck to paycheck lifestyle.
And who doesn’t know that the trickledown economics that reduces taxation has its opposite effect with trickledown taxation? When rich people save money in the manufacture of goods and provision of services, costs go down and so too the prices for the goods and services that people in the middle class buy. Conversely, when taxation goes up, so too does the cost of doing business, which is passed down to the middle class consumer as well. In a vain attempt at punishing the ‘Wealthy’ with their tax and spend illiberalism, they are actually punishing the wealth of the middle class! These Progressives are far removed from any intellectual foundation and no matter what they do they will burden the middle class people more and more with their ‘Tax the Wealthy’ pogroms.
So who benefits from the idea of taxing the wealthy? Is it the poor in our country who relies upon the recapture of private funds to pay for social services to the poor? But if this were the case, what is happening with the increased population of undocumented workers (illegal aliens) who are now taking that money for their own benefit? The so called poor class in our country is being bumped to the curb to make way for the new voters from the more than 10 million illegal immigrants who have come to this country. As has been the practice of the past, this ‘walking around money’ to get out the vote by Democrats is no longer used to get the poor vote but will be used to get the ‘illegal’ vote.
To anyone with eyes to see, we can see that the tireless tax and spend policies of the Left and the Harris campaign will actually backfire and hurt the people whom they are pretending to help. They are clueless and there is no time to rescue their mind because they are brain dead. They have a right to run for office but they do not have a right to ruin our nation. Quit with the pandering of the past to curse the wealthy for the Depression. Because if we don’t, we’re likely to end up right where we began when they first got started. the campaign promises of Kamala Harris will lead us right back to another Great Depression.
