RFK JR in the Resolute Desk (photoshopped) Like his Cousin JFK JR
There hasn’t been a Kennedy in the White House for 60 years. Are you excited to see the return of the Kennedys in the Executive Branch of government? I am! With the confirmation of Robert Francis Kennedy to the cabinet post of Health and Human Services (HHS), we will see the vision of Mr. Bobby Kennedy brought to bear on the mismanagement and excess of the health and food industries. Many things are on the horizon, that over time we’ll address; but now, let’s celebrate the return of the Kennedys to the White House.
Kennedy Assassination
No, I’m not talking about how the Democrats assassinated one of their own. I’m of course addressing the assassination of JFK SR in 1963. Recently, President Trump released all classified materials related to the assassinations of President Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior (JFK, RFK, and MLK). Having nearly been assassinated himself, Mr. Trump appreciates answers to questions that we still don’t have about the attempts on his life.
I used to read and review material on the JFK assassination and found that all roads lead to a dead end. I concluded that:
· Oswald was a murderer (he murdered Officer Tippet)
· Oswald was the lone gunman shooting Kennedy (he murdered JFK)
· The Warren Report was right about the magic bullet; but
o it was the second bullet that hit Kennedy that killed him
· Acoustic data shows that only 3 shots were fired
o With 2 echoes
· These echoes were heard on the grassy knoll
o There was no gunman on the grassy knoll
· There was no conspiracy (we’ve been chasing ghosts)
With decades of ‘who done it’ movies and novels (the butler in the library with a candlestick) in the 1930s and afterwards, the national past time of who killed JR Ewing, excuse me, JFK, was off to the races; and nothing was going to stop it. Simply put, no one believed that Oswald could have killed Kennedy alone.
Personal History
While I have never had the privilege of shaking the hand of a Kennedy, my life was spared due to the Kennedy family and in particular, JFK himself. While a 6 year old boy in 1968, I was in the hospital with a comma and on the verge of losing my life. I had stopped eating, all my veins were collapsed, and they performed a ‘cut down procedure’ on my right ankle (to put a IV in to hydrate me). I was almost gone.
The doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me and my parents were in the prayer chapel asking God to reveal to the doctors what the problem was (many prayers have since been made asking God ‘what is wrong with that boy’). To their amazement, God answered their prayers.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) had Addison’s disease; and due to his family’s great wealth, he was able to get the best doctors and medicines to treat his condition. The doctors realized that my symptoms were the same as those that JFK had and chose to put cortisone into the IV to treat the problem as JFK had. I soon woke up, was hungry, and recovered fully. I’ve been hungry ever since and still take hydrocortisone to this day. My medical miracle was due in no small part to the popularity of JFK and the condition he suffered from.
The doctors told my parents that if I had been born a few years earlier, I would have died because the medical science was not available then and no one knew how to treat it. It was because of JFK that I’m alive today. I wrote a small letter to Teddy Kennedy (his brother; no response but that’s ok). I said that because of his family, we were able to treat my illness. Many thanks to the Kennedys.
Summary
We have 4 years to look forward to with Mr. Bobby Kennedy at the helm of HHS. We can expect many and great things (small steps and incremental improvements; not grand over regulations). We should expect a better look at the assassination of JFK (Yarborough film?) and perhaps better acoustic data. And we should take away the fact that the wealthy get the best medicines and medical treatments because they can afford the startup costs of medical business, which makes it more affordable to the rest of us a few years later. Socialism does not advance the cause of medicine or health care but capitalism does.
Yes, there is going to be a Kennedy in the White House once again (that is if he gets approved by the Senate). I think this is a time for celebration where we participate in improving our health via the agencies tasked with oversight of our foods and medicines. I think we have the right guy for the right job. God Speed RFK JR!
